Week 1 - How did I start
Hi Everyone,
I am very happy and honoured to participate in the course with so many international and experienced colleagues.
This is my first blog although I have heard of this tool before. Frankly speaking I didn't understand the idea of blogging before I read the articles from the reading list. I believe that having my blog during the course will help me discover the advantages of using blog for my professional puposes.
The begining of the course were pretty stressful for me. I logged in as soon as got the necessary information on my email and I saw a lot of different tasks for the first week. I felt lost and upset but decided to wait till Monday. And then a huge relief. Donna sent her first email with detailed descriptiommn of the first week's activities. I just followed her instructions and everything was obvious.
Now I feel really safe and ready to cope with new challenges. The thing that worries me most is taking part in discuusions. I am not used to debate on things online and I love seeing the person I'm talking to. But on the other hand after the introductions and small talks on line I see how to do it. I must admit that I first read some of your posts and see how to do things. Thanks a lot for your help and support. I find it wonderful that we can learn from each other.
I wish you all a lot of success and joy while working for the course.
All the best,
Ula

ReplyDeleteHi Ula,
DeleteLoved reading your first blogpost as it sounded so sincere, so honest. We are all here to learn together, to work as a team - that is exactly how I feel about it. The Twenty Musketeers (I guess we are around 20!): one for alland all for one.
Keep posting, Ula.
Greetings from rainy Portugal,
Alex
Hi Alex,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind reply and I admire your love and skills in blogging. I hope to learn a lot from you.
Greetings,
Ula
dear Ula,
ReplyDeletethe idea of blog is to present your own reflection , but I would say that one more idea is to show the other colleagues that we 're in the same boat, and we share more-less same problems.
I'm also , as you are , worried about debates and taking part in an online discussions. but, you know the old saying: when in Rome do as Roman do ! I'm ready as I hope so that most of us are.
greetings from Serbia

Hi Ula!
ReplyDeleteYour city's history is really interesting and I can see that you mater it verry well. It's really a honnor for us to participate in this course because this will be determinant in the future as far as language teaching is concerned. And I think that we are taking a step in advance with this training on Webskills.

Hello Ula,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that my constant emails were helpful! I worry that I'm sending out too many and I'm overwhelming.
